No Place to Call Home
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be on the street? I want you to imagine someone trying to sleep on the streets in minus forty degrees or plus forty degrees. How bad would you feel if you saw someone trying to stay warm or cool? Just imagine if that were you. What if they had a home? What if you did not have a home, what would you do? How would you cook food? How would you get a job and by what method would you get money? it just starts to spiral down wards one you get to an interview they ask you if you have a home, you say no, they say you cannot get the job most job interviews are over the phone most homeless people do not have a phone. You cannot get a job, when you cannot get a job, you cannot get money and without money you cannot get a house, without a home, you cannot get food, when you do not get food, or you will die and as you can see it is a spiral effect.
A house is a place where maybe you have just some foods a couch a tv maybe a bed to sleep in a home is a place where you have you family that’s where you have all your toys and all your food and all your furniture and maybe that’s where you made your best friend or maybe you had good memories in your house.
Firstly, a warm place where you can keep your Hoddys and shirts and a place for your food and where you can take a shower or where you can sleep where you store your food, and your room is in your home your home is where you live.
Secondly Safety is my third paragraph your home is somewhere you are safe and when you are safe you feel comfortable, when you are safe you feel better.
And my second last paragraph. Family is special and when you are with people you know are around you will be family feel comforted and when you are safe you are nicer to people, and you are happy.
Lastly, I think that Winnipeg should do housing first like Finland did I think that it would be easier to get a job so if Winnipeg could just use housing first there would be so many homeless people would be off the streets. On any given night thirty-five millenary Canadians can be found on the street on any given night.
In conclusion I talked about safety family and a home
