What Home Means to Me
The meaning of home to me is the comfort of my family, and my bed. I love my bed. My home is very cozy, everything about it is cozy. When I step foot in my home, I am automatically calm. I love the feeling I get when I’m in my home! Home isn’t a house, it’s happiness, love, and comfort. Home can be a place, anything that brings you joy, I’m happy to have a place to call home.
To me, home means love. I feel that I can be myself without worrying anybody will judge me, and I can show my emotions without hurting anyone’s feelings or anyone feeling sad for me. I don’t like when people feel bad for me because I know that I’m not the only one with troubles and I don’t like when people’s attention is on me, but I don’t have to worry about that when I’m at home. When I am in my happy place, I feel loved and comforted. Comfort is my favorite feeling. I love how it makes me feel safe, happy, and loved all at the same time. I don’t need to be around someone to feel loved. Being alone I tend to be happier, don’t get me wrong, I love my friends and family but having my own company while walking around my home, or playing catch on my couch with a random ball I found in my drawer is the most comfort I ever feel. In my home one of my favorite things my family and I do, is we try our best to have all of us be happy. When one of us isn’t happy, or is upset, we try our best to help comfort them and make sure they feel loved and appreciated. If, or when someone in my family has an unhealthy habit, we try to reassure them to not do whatever they are doing that they shouldn’t be. However, we know not to get upset, because we know that when one of us tells us not to do something, they don’t mean for their words to be hurtful, they just don’t want us to have any bad habits.
Love. The feeling of love is so cozy, I love the feeling of it, because it’s warm and exciting. I think that something everyone should know is that even if not a lot of people show you love and affection, or you think that you aren’t loved, trust me, you are. Nobody needs anyone to show them love you can just love yourself, and your home can show you more than anything else can. I love that whenever I have a day off from school, or after school I play with my dogs Oliver, and Lacey. I love my dogs; they can’t talk but they are always there for me. Whenever I have a bad day, they cuddle with me, and I enjoy playing catch, or tug of war with them. One of my favorite things that I do with my dogs, is going on walks to the park with them, or playing with the hose outside on a sunny day! My home isn’t just one thing, my home is my house, animals and family! On my free time at home, I really enjoy looking at the sky. My backyard is the best place to watch the clouds, because of my trees in the backyard. The sky always shows behind them, and the clouds are usually above them, the sun shines in between the opening of the clouds, and I have several photos and videos of the sky!
My home is very special to me. I love how whenever there is a snow day I go downstairs and sit on the couch near the fireplace with blankets, and I play games with my friends. In my home, we have two rooms with fireplaces. One of those rooms is the living room, the other is just a random room by that staircase that I like to go in with my cousins when I babysit them! Either way, both rooms are just as amazing as the other. I enjoy taking naps in the room by the staircase, I prefer to take them in that room because the couch in that room is more made for sleeping, and the couch in the living room is made for sitting or laying down. Watching movies with my family is very fun, especially when I have a hot water bottle a blanket while I’m wearing pajamas! I enjoy spending time with my family, and I enjoy it way more when we watch movies! Sometimes I forget, but I have a lot of comfy sweaters that are extremely warm and fuzzy! When the weather is very cold, I usually wear them. I also like to wear them when I am playing on my phone downstairs! That is what home means to me.
The meaning of home to me is a loving place, a place of comfort and a special place.
