Meaning of Home
Imagine you wake up and your whole world changed you didn’t have a home, shelter, love, or comfort, you just didn’t have a place to call home. The meaning of home to me means comfort from horses, to let out emotion when talking, and to be myself around family, barn friends, or my horse.
Comfort from horses makes me feel at home because they always listen and never judge. They can sense when your sad and can comfort you. If you have a bond with a horse, you have a friend for a lifetime, and they will do anything for you.
Showing emotion when talking makes me feel at home because however hard life gets, I know there a place to come home to with people I love that will let me talk about my day. One of my favorite verses that I reflect on is “Lay all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.’’ Whenever I talk about something I’m stressed about to a family member weight falls off my shoulders.
Being my self around family or friends makes me feel at home because I don’t have to be tense and stressed. I don’t have to watch how I act I can be comfortable. I can have relaxed time alone and can focus on my mental health.
