The meaning of home is comfort It’s sitting with your family watching TV It’s getting lost in a book next to the fireplace That’s home to me The meaning of home is peace It’s knowing you’re safe in your own fort in the tree It’s visiting dreamland under cozy blankets That’s home to me The meaning of home is family It’s chatting around the table sipping warm tea It’s exchanging presents during the holidays That’s home to me The meaning of home is senses It’s the smell of freshly baked cookies, roast turkey It’s a sound, a laugh, a ‘How was your day?’ from Mom That’s home to me May the comfort, peace, family and senses go free.
