What Home Means to Me

The Meaning of Home The feeling of home for me is not just at my own house but it is a feeling I get when I go to the homes of my family. When I visit my Uncle’s home, my Aunt makes us pepperoni pizza with warm gooey cheddar cheese. I play card games with my Uncle while my family visits and has peppermint herbal tea outside in the big garden . I feel happy ! My home is filled with my mom, dad and big brother, Jack. I help my mom by making her tea because she hurt her knee and arm and had to go to the hospital. I like helping my mom because I love her. I like it when my Dad plays soccer with me in our backyard. I also enjoy playing with the cats who love to play with their balls. In the evening, I snuggle with them on the couch or in bed when I fall asleep. Near my home, I go for walks in the forest and at the beach with my Dad. On the weekends, we go to the pool in Courtenay for a swim or we have movie nights with popcorn where we all spend time together. We do a lot of fun things together which makes me feel home. Everybody has time for me and is happy to help if I ask for it, which makes me feel good and I belong. We also play pranks on each other which makes me happy because it's fun. My room is nice and cozy with a very comfortable bed, and a desk and chair with my computer. I like to keep my room tidy by putting away all my things. I know I am lucky because I have a home with wonderful parents and live in the Comox Valley. I wish everyone could have what I have.
