Everyone Deserves a Home
There are so many differences between my house and my home.
My house is not just walls and a roof, my home is where I am safe and protected.
My house has a fridge that has lots of food to feed me.
And a bed to keep me warm and cozy.
My house has a sink to supply me with water,
lights to see and a couch to watch tv.
My home is a place where you feel loved and cared for.
My home is a place where I see my siblings playing with their friends and neighbors.
My home is where I hear popcorn popping and the buttery smell from the microwave.
Home is where I hear the sound of birds chirping in the morning and see sunsets in the evening.
Home is where I feel safe and secure and lucky.
Everyone deserves to have a home where they can feel loved and cared for
Everyone. deserves to have a house with four walls and a roof.
I always remind my sister to be grateful for walls and a roof that keeps us dry from rain, walls that keep wind from blowing in and a family that will always be there for us.
I hope Habitat for humanity can help everyone find a home because everyone deserves a home.
