What Home Means to Me

To me home means sitting on the couch watching a movie. Home means feeling safe with your loved ones. Home is going for a car ride to see the ocean or camping in your front yard. Home is going to the park and for walks. Seeing your family is also home to me. My neighbours help me feel safe in my neighbourhood. I feel safe in my city and in my town. Going to stores and out for dinner. Home is somewhere you feel happy, and sad and excited. When you have a birthday party, that's excitement. Home is driving to school and home again. It's when you have supper together. Home is seeing fresh baked cookies when you get home. It's saying goodnight to your family when you go to bed. It's saying I love you by the fire or at the beach. Home is when I see you smile. Home is wherever I see you. Home sweet home, home is with family and friends. Home is reading a book to your little brother or sister. I feel everybody deserves a home. Home is going to the cottage and eating dinner by the fire. Habitat for Humanity could be the right home for you.
