A Home For All
The dictionary describes home as; a house, apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household, but it’s so much more than that, it is a place of warmth, happiness, and love.
The rainy days inside playing board games and watching movies. The sunny days outside with friends, playing sports and games. It’s chaotic and relaxed all at once, and I love it.
The loud nights with visitors and parties, friends and family alike, coming together for fun, birthdays, graduations and holiday celebrations. I’m never happier than I am when I’m at home.
The long car rides home, from family visits and vacations are always so worth it, because when it’s over I get to be back at home. I get to feel the safety of being indoors, of having a roof over my head, I can’t imagine life without a home.
That is what home means to me.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for providing these feelings for those who deserve to feel the same way I do. Share the warmth, the happiness and the love.
