What Home Means to Me

If you ask someone what home means they would likely say something along the lines of, “Well it's the place that you live,” but home is much more than just that. Home can mean lots of different things to lots of different people but to me, it’s a very special place. Home is the place I love the very most. Home is where I can feel safe, it’s where I can deal with all the stress that I have accumulated throughout the day. Anything and everything just melts away. As soon as I open the door a cheerful puppy rushes to greet me and the smell of freshly baked sourdough bread wafts over me like a warm blanket. Once I enter the house all my troubles just cease to exist. Home is a magical place. Home is one of those words that can mean almost anything although the definition stays the same. Home can be a happy, cheerful, lively place or a calm, peaceful place. All these things can be true and many more, this is the magic of home.
