What Home Means to Me?

My home is a very peaceful and fun place to live. It means a lot of things to me because home is a place for family and friends to gather around with each other. Sometimes people don’t have enough money to buy houses. So, the people who have houses are lucky. Firstly, my home is a place of memories. My favorite memory is to knock on my neighbour’s door and play soccer after school. Memories can also mean spending time with family and friend on special holidays. Secondly, home is where I learn respect for others. I help my sister when she needs help in math or in other things. I also follow my parent’s rules and respect the property. I don’t scream or disrupt when my parents are working. Thirdly, my house is a place that keeps me safe. My house has a home alarm. When it is armed it will go off and make a loud noise to alert us that someone is breaking into my house. In my house, there is a hook behind the door to keep the handle from moving and the door from opening. Additionally, I live in a neighbour hood that is unlikely to be robbed into. Finally, home is a place of comfort and to relax. My sofa is a great place to sit down while watching TV. Another place of comfort is my bed. When I am sleepy, I go on my bed and wait for my mom and dad to tuck me in and say my prayer. A house is just a house, but a home is a place of emotional connections and where I live with my family.
