Home

Home is a place where you feel happy and safe. A place where you are with the people you love most, which could be your family, your friends or someone who just means a lot to you. For me a home is far more than a house; in fact, there is a big difference. A house is just a box with four walls and a roof but a home is a place you built with your family by sharing moments with the people that mean the most to you. A house is built by people, but a home is built by you and your family. The moments you share like having a movie night with your family all snuggled up on a couch with a bowl of popcorn and staying up really late. Maybe going on a walk to the park to play with your dog. Having a sleepover with your family friend. Those moments are the kind of things that make a house into a home. When you wake up in the morning, you know that you are with the people you love and know that they are there for you when you need them the most, like when you are sad or angry. You know you can count on them no matter what. When you are at home, you can be yourself because the people in your home love you for you;, you don't have to worry about anyone judging you or giving you a stare because you know they like you for you. You just focus on family time, getting to eat dinner with your family or having a family game after dinner. Just hanging out with your family is what makes it a home not a house. That is what a home is to me.
