What is Home to Me
Home is a touch, taste, smell, and sight.
I touch warm hands around me, warm bread from my family’s culture,
warm hugs from my parents.
I smell a welcoming pleasant smell when I walk in my home,
food cooked by my loving mother “fresh food.”
I see babies welcoming us when we walk in, my brother playing
on his gadget and sometimes family members.
I taste food from my family with care and love that we made in
the past.
I hear wood chimes in the summer wind, the rain pattering on the
window and silence.
That is what home is to me.
