Home for Me

The meaning of home for me is where I come home to at the end of the day. I see the pictures on the walls as well as the design. This year and last year, me and my family are doing a full house renovation and at times it has been absolute chaos, but it has been a fun experience. Since we are still living in the house during the reno the bedrooms were crazy with couches, area rugs, tables, and more. Even though it has been chaos at times it has been crazy, fun, hectic, and awesome. A house is where people live to survive with no comfort or dents in the walls. The sight of home for me is seeing my dog sleeping in the window and the furniture all over my home. A house is an empty space lacking personality and memories. The smell of home for me is when I walk in the door, and I smell honey garlic chicken in the slow cooker. A house is someone else’s cooking and different-smelling hand soap in the washroom. The feel of home for me is the smooth countertop on my hands and the soft bed in my room. A house is a rough floor on your feet and a hard bed when you sleep at night. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for helping more people turn houses into Homes.
