A house is…WAIT NO….A home is a habitat!

A house is a place. It does not mean you see or speak to the people you love. You don’t feel safe in a house. Yes, you have a roof. You have walls surrounding you. Doors and windows. But will any of that matter if you don’t feel comfortable? Will any of that matter if you don’t feel loved? If you don’t laugh? If you don’t feel happiness? A home is a place where you make memories. A home is a place where you laugh and have fun. In a home you feel safe when you sleep. You feel cozy and have that warm, fuzzy feeling right when the person you love walks into your room and tells you how much they care. You feel happy knowing that they will always be with you, through all ups and downs. You feel lighthearted and happy in the morning when you wake up knowing that the people you love and who you are loved by are right in your home. I cannot begin to imagine what it feels like to not have a home let alone a house. The thought is heartbreaking. There are people who have to live and sleep in unsafe, cold and dark, gloomy places. I hope I make a difference for those without a safe roof over their heads. I want to help people make not only a house, but a home. Their habitat!
