What Home means to me
Home is an emotion, not a location. The place I call home is really important to me. My home serves as a constant reminder of my values and countless memories. A good, safe, secure home is the most important thing to me in the world. I was raised in my home, it's where I had fun, wept, laughed, and learned. I was raised there. It’s where I developed into who I am today, a young, powerful girl. I think a house is more than just a structure with four walls and a roof over it. House is a setting. When I enter the room, I am greeted by this extremely strong emotion.
Who waits for you, is what matters. The people I live with are what I cherish most about my house. My family is what makes my house, my home. If you don't have anybody to share it with, having all of the world's worldly possessions in life is meaningless.
My foundation will always be deeply attached in this setting and with these people who have helped shape who I am as a person and taught me how to live, no matter where I go in the future. I am confident that I can always get home. Afterall, home is where the heart is.
In my home, I can be myself, I am surrounded by the people I love, and I have a sense of purpose and belonging. Home is a place that people grow up wanting to leave and then grow old eager to return to. Home is where I feel safe, strong and powerful. I am thankful to have a home that offers me all of these things since it is a place that brings me joy, comfort, and security.
