My Home
My home is a safe, warm, dry and happy place. In my home I smell BBQ because my dad loves to grill things. I also smell candles burning, my dad’s cologne and on a rainy night I can smell the rain and I feel the cool breeze coming through the windows. My favourite feelings are, being loved, safe, warm, accepted and my dog’s fur and a cozy blanket. The sights at my house are, my dogs, my yard, my family, the birds eating out of the bird feeder and beautiful flowers. The sounds I hear in my house are my dogs barking, my sisters laughing, the sound of the shower, the sound of my dad’s voice as I fall asleep and the sounds of the birds chirping when I wake up. The tastes in my house are fresh bread and fresh fish from the lake and my mom's amazing chocolate cake. I live with my mom, my dad, my two little sisters, my two dogs and my 7 fish. I love my home so much.
Another place I feel at home is in British Columbia with my Nona, my papa, my five cousins, my aunties, uncles. British Columbia is like my second home I don’t go to often but I still feel loved and safe there. For some people a house could be a tent, a trailer, there car or even their grandparents house. I am so thankful that I have an amazing home and that my mom and dad have amazing jobs so I can be safe and warm. I also hope that the people that moved here from the Ukraine feel safe, loved, and included. And I always wish everyone had an amazing home like my home. And that is what home means to me.
