House vs Home

When I think of a house I think of a building that, most of the time, many other people have lived there before. House is a shelter built for you to live in, to be protected from the weather outside. Your house can change and be a new one. A house can be demolished or destroyed, but home cannot. When I think of home I think of a place where I can feel safe and protected. Home is where you can spend time with the ones you love. Home can be anywhere - a place, a city, or almost anything, it can also be a feeling. When you feel at home that means you feel comfortable and secure where you are. Home is where you make memories with your family and friends. Home is where you have family movie night and bake chocolate chip cookies. Home is where you grow up and grow as a person. A house can be broken but the feeling of home can't.
