Home is a Poem
When you ask someone where their home is they might tell you “51 Oak Street,” but my home is in my heart. When you ask someone what a home is they might tell you where you live, but my home is my family.
Many people invite friends to their house but very few people are invited to your home. You may not think so but many kids your age don’t have a home or even a family. That is why we write these poems, to provide homes to people who require it. When we write these entries, we are inspiring people and letting them know of this dilemma.
Some people say home is a book, a story full of memories and hope, but I think home is more a poem, abstract and different in everybody’s eyes. How only the author can truly understand it. Home is a birthday cake. People see the icing on top but don’t see the many layers and flavours of this sweet treat. Home is a poem. Live it. Write it. Love it.
