Home For Me Is...

Home for me is not just walls and a roof. It's me surrounded by a family I love. It's me coming home from school on Friday, smelling the food my mom prepared for Shabbat . Home for me is me and my brother playing outside in the snow, then having hot chocolate to drink. It's me going swimming in the summer with my family. I love racing against my sister in the pool to see who swims the fastest. Home for me is my siblings and I having a water fight with my neighbors every year. I love it when we give out popsicles to the kids playing outside on hot summer days. It's sad that not every family can afford a house, but Habitat for Humanity helps lots of families get a home, and help them to feel safe and loved like I do. That is what home is for me.
