My Home

My home is where my Vo’s Portuguese spaghetti with chicken is in my mouth and I’m around a table at Thanksgiving with all my family. My home is my community. I walk outside to see all the loving people in my community with a smile on their face. As well as friends and family playing all day long. My home is where my friends and family love me and support me and will comfort me when I’m sad. Home is where I can cry, be joyful, be angry and laugh. My home is where I can smell the fresh summer air that roams around my community by the park that is right across my house. I can feel the fresh summer air against my skin when I am on the lake with my boat filled with family and friends. My home is where I wake up and hear the summer birds chirp while camping with my family. When I’m on the beach with family and friends I think about how grateful I am to already have a home. Anywhere I go, as long as I have my family and friends, that place is my home. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for giving people the experience some people don’t have but will soon. I love my community and I hope other people can love theirs too. A house has four walls and a roof but a home is where family and friends are with you no matter what. That is home. I know a lot of people don’t have a house but I hope everyone has somewhere to call home.
