If Home Were a Dog

If home were a dog, it would be warm and fuzzy on the inside and out Like when you're watching movies or having a game night or perhaps sitting and talking If home were a dog, it would be filled with love and joy Like when I'm making cookies with my brother or cooking supper with my mother If home were a dog, there would be all the happiness and laughter Like when I'm playing outside with my brother and sisters and my dog If home were a dog, it would be filled with toys and memories Like when you're cleaning out your room when you're older, you find all the toys you used to play with when you were younger If home were a dog, there would be all the feelings and emotions Like when you get in a fight with your siblings and you say things you regret. All the emotions in that one place, all the emotions in one heart. A home isn't just a building or a place, it's in your heart and the memories that you make in your home. Home is where you make your memories. All the dents in the walls tell stories, all the paintings you make as a kid tell stories. Home can be anywhere, because home is in your heart and not just a place. Home isn’t about making money. It's about the love and joy. Home isn’t about fighting it's about sharing emotions and feelings. Home is a safe place, home is safe place to love, share memories, feelings, laughter and joy. If home were a dog. If home were a dog.
