Meaning of Home
ning of Home
Charles Dickens once said, ‘charity begins at home and justice begins next door’. Home is a place where I am free, a shield that can shelter me from cold rain or freezing snow and a location where I can make joyful memories. This is what home means to me.
To begin, home is place where I can always be free. However, in public I am attached to a leash holding me back from what I have a desire to do. Home makes me feel as if I am free to do anything that pops up in my mind without anything or anyone holding me back.
Furthermore, home is a shield that protects me from the rapidly changing weather just like snail being protected with its stable shell. My home gives me warmth in the harsh and cold winters and cools me down in the blazing hot summers. I know I have nothing to fear when I am at home.
Last but not least, home is a mixture of both good and bad memories. The memories you make are not only in your heart but in your warm surroundings as well. The times you where hurt, felt pain and agony, the times you laughed as a happy family will never leave these walls.
A quote by Pliny the Elder, ‘Home is where the heart is’. Home is a place everyone deserves. You are free, safe and is a place where you make memories. This is what home means to me.
