What home means to me?
To me home feels like a place where I can do my favorite things
like reading a book, playing video games, and I have my family
close to me to help me cheer up when I am sad.
When I am done doing my homework, I take one of my Harry
Potter books and sit down on the couch. When I am reading,
sometimes I hear my brother playing loud music in the
background and my mom’s loud cooking fan. However, these
noises don’t make me stop reading my book.
I am lucky to have a mom that lets me play videogames every
day even when I have limited time to sleep. Some kids cannot
even play for this long or some don’t have a gaming console. I
am lucky that I still get to play even in a small amount of time.
Sometimes I feel sad because I don’t have anyone to play with
or someone to say something about me. But my mom knows
what’s happening, so she comes to me and asks me, “What’s
wrong?”. I tell her and I feel much better when I share it with
my mom. She always gives me a solution to fix it and it always
works one way or another. She always makes sure to give me a
hug before she goes back to what she was doing to make me
feel just a little better.
I do secret talks with my dad about toys that my mom refuses
to buy for me. My dad plays basket ball with me. We go for bike
rides during summer and he takes us to the park.
To conclude, my home is a place where I can be myself, do
things that I like. I feel safe and supported at home because of
my lovely parents. There is no better place than home.
