Meaning of Home
You could say that my first home was in my Mom's belly. I felt safe, protected and warm. She would sing me songs in Czech, and cuddle her belly like she was cuddling me.
My Mom told me once that home is where the heart is. I feel safest when I'm lying in bed cuddling up with my mom until I fall asleep while my home is sheltering me from the very cold wintery nights, and the boiling hot summer days.
My house protects me from the coyotes and the foxes that run in our backyard during the nights. I can even sometimes hear them howling when I'm lying in my warm, cozy bed. I thank my house for protecting me.
There are so many more reasons I love my home like playing with my sister, rollerblading through the house, having my very own fantastic room, a family that loves me so so much, delicious food made by my Grandma, free well water, nice fitting clothes, and most importantly warm cuddles from my whole family.
I hope that the kids from grade 4, 5, and 6 can raise a lot of money for people in need who don't have a home and aren't so lucky. Everybody deserves a house to feel safe in and a home to be loved, especially people in need.
I love my home, and I am very thankful to have a home. Home equals love and that's what home means to me.
