Alphabet Home

If I had to describe what home means to me, with the letters of the alphabet, it would be… Altogether we gather each day where I never feel alone. Beside the ones I love this place that I call home. Calm is how I feel knowing I always have somewhere to go. Devoted parents waiting outside for me in the sunshine or snow. Everyone feels safe at home when they hear there might be a storm. Feeling sheltered from the cold in a house so nice and warm. Gathering close together in the living room for family game night. Having a home and family is such a good sight. Inside this place I call my home the walls are made of wood and stone. Just like my mom and dad I hope I’ll have one of my own. Kingdom is home to a king and queen and a house is home to you and me. Lions in their den, bees in their hive, even animals feel comfort and glee. Morning sun shining in while I wait for the bus. Never with a big fuss. Often, I feel sad for people without a place of their own. People without a home must feel very alone. Quietly I sleep in my big comfy bed. Remembering my day with happy dreams in my head. Safely I play in my backyard each day and night Together my family and I sometimes fly a kite. Under the roof of this special place. Visiting with everyone no matter what the case. Wondering each Christmas how we will decorate the tree. Xmas is such a happy time at home for me. Years go by and I appreciate my home. Zillions of reasons this poem has shown.
