Community, Province, Country... Home

Some say a home is a place that you feel safe, loved and welcome but home means so much more than that to me. Home is something that words alone can not describe; it's a feeling, no more than that. Home means different things to different people. Home is my pets listening to me blab about my nonsense. Home is my family sitting at our island enjoying a homemade meal. Home is my friends making me laugh for no reason at all. Home is my school helping us to do great things for the world. Home is my community helping those in need. Home is B.C. standing together through covid. Home is Canada helping everyone have a home of their own. Home is the Earth giving all of us a beautiful place to live. Home is the sun giving us more light than we need. Home is the moon making the night as dark as it can. Home is the universe giving us this amazing planet to live on. For so people home is not a good place, it's scary, sad and lonely. But for some it is the best place in the world. Someday I hope that everyone has a home like mine. I am so grateful for this contest to help everyone have a home of their own, that they can feel safe and loved in. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for this contest.
