My New Home

Home is where we all want to be, well, for a hamster that can be hard.My name is Willa. I am about to give birth. People alway want to buy hamsters. My little hamsters will probably only last a few days with me at home before someone buys them. There are 7 of them. They all have bright pink noses and tiny cute tails.They are all dark gray and brown. But one of them is white and has caramel patches. He is the biggest of them all. I look out through my window to see a little girl and her mom coming in. It’s been a week and my baby’s are old enough to be bought now. The same girl I saw a week ago comes in. She walks over and peers into my glass home. She looks around at my family. Her eyes fall on the caramel hamster This is the first day I open my eyes. It is bright and everything looks big. A big hand comes down and scoops me up. I don’t mind because it is very warm. I wonder if it is my mother! I hear a squeak from below me. I see this hamster below me. She says: “ I am your mother.” I can now hear kids and adults talking.I am slowly taken out of my little box. I am put into this small cage with some food and water and lots of little toys. I have learned to love them. They are always very nice to me. They cuddle me, they talk to me, they clean my cage and all my other toys in there. I now love it here. It is not always easy finding a forever home, but once you find it, you will never want to leave.
