The 5 Senses of My Home
Home is filled with happiness, contentment, warmth, and love. My Home is where I develop memories of the best relationships and celebrate from the small to most significant events of my life. It's where I can be myself without fear of being judged. I feel a sense of belonging where everyone in the family cares about each other.
I always smell the delicious food my mom makes with the one secret recipe she uses every day. From the sweet smell of my morning smoothie to turning on the lavender night diffuser in my room, I love the smell of my house.
I can always taste the scrumptious pancakes we make with gooey Maple Syrup. I love the taste of the local restaurants in my city and especially the summer food trucks at community events. The homemade pita bread that my mom makes fills me with gratitude while we laugh and share our day at the dinner table.
I always hear chirping birds and squirrels running through the leaves in the morning while taking a walk on trails in my neighborhood.
In the house, I hear the vacuum and my sister's shows on the television. I always find these sounds making my home unique and distinguished.
The most beautiful sight is when my little sister wakes up with a smile and says good morning with a warm hug. Home looks like a clean space where we share all the love and peaceful thoughts.
I am very lucky to have a home with everything I need. There are kids my age in the world who don't have a home so I want to help them. Other than that I am very grateful for habitat for humanity because they help many people, they inspire me too.
