The Meaning of Home

Date: Tuesday, January 31, 2023 The meaning of home Home is a place where I get to see my family members and my pet cat. I also get to see other things that make me happy like photos and fridge magnets. The fridge magnets remind me of where I’ve gone, and photos are family memories, and my family has always loved me as much as I love them, and my cat has always made sure I was not alone.. Home is where I can hear my family chatting and I can hear cooking, and I can hear my cat meowing. Whenever I hear my family chatting, I know they're either happy or calm, and when I hear cooking, I know a meal is going to be sometime later during the evening. When I hear my cat meowing, I can guarantee he is there and he must be trying to say something. Home is where I can smell delicious food, and realistic soap bars. Delicious food always makes me hungry, but when food is right in front of me, I don’t need to worry about waiting for the food to be ready to eat. The realistic soap bars remind me of when my parents went to the Bahamas on a cruise, and although I didn’t get to go, it’s safe to say that my parents had fun. Home is where I have a chance to taste treats or actual food. To be honest, treats taste pretty good, but sometimes not as good as actual food could taste. My favourite treat, kind of food, is cake while my favourite actual food is macaroni and cheese. Although I personally think cake tastes better, I feel like a dish of mac n cheese could beat the taste of some other candies. Home is where I can feel my cat’s soft and fluffy fur. Whenever I get home, I can also feel the nice and comfy bed everyday. Everyday, when coming home from school, will give me an opportunity to feel my big rocks on my soft plushies. In fact, many things in my house have a meaning that I tell myself when feeling them, like home itself. Lastly, my plants have unique feelings, one has soft flowers, one has small and soft leaves, and the rest feel the same. In conclusion, the meaning of home is the place where you really start to come to life, where you will see your surroundings, hear your surroundings, sometimes smell your surroundings, taste food, and feel your surroundings.
