Home

Home is like a game, the safe zone, or a person, place, or thing. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a noun, it could be a feeling, somewhere in your heart deep down. Home is the place where you should gain love, affection, and support. To me, home is the place where I can be myself. Where no one could judge me, whether it was being locked in my room or playing in my backyard. Somewhere I know and can feel protected no matter what. Outside feels like home to me, sometimes it’s the special tree I walk by everyday, the stray that I still remember from vacation, and even the tiny stream every time I walk through the local trail down the road, where I put a mini rock on a leaf and place it on the water as I watch it move. My home is made up of memories, fun memories. Whenever I remember one, it always puts a smile on my face. Sometimes the memories I recall could be funny, and then I’d start to laugh. Sometimes the memories I recall could be times when I’m with my friends, I would cherish the moment. Even though sometimes home could be far away from me, it means everything to me. I treasure it. It is my favorite place. Not only for me, but for my friends, my family, or anyone in general. Because everyone should have the right to revere the special feeling. The special feeling of home.
