My Home
Home is a place that I can spend time with my family. At home I can imagine the food that my mom makes right now, the warm and creamy spaghetti and Alfredo sauce, and the cold ice cream sundae for dessert. Home is a place that I can sleep in a warm and cozy bed. My home is a place that I can run around outside freely or jump on the trampoline or even just lie down on the yard and watch the clouds. My favourite memory is when I was 1 or 2 and whenever I heard the bathtub getting filled up, I would crawl to the bathroom. Then as soon as my sisters saw me in the bathroom they would scream.
At home the things I hear now are music, talking, and laughter. My favourite place in the house is the kitchen. The kitchen is my favourite because I can help my mom make supper or baked goods like cookies, cupcakes, pies, and muffins. When I walk through the door, I smell smoke from the fireplace, or the sweet smell of a coffee candle. I walk in the door and smell freshly baked goods; I just want to jump for joy. My home makes me feel welcome, loved, and cared for. I feel that I matter at home. My home makes me feel HAPPY! That is what my home means to me.
