What Home is to Me
To me home is a place where I feel loved. It is a place where I can eat good food every day. It is a place where I can stay warm on cold winter nights.
At my home I can see the fields, woods, and pastures dotting the country side. At my home in the winter, I can hear the mooing of the cows, and the sound of our Case IH tractor driving in our yard. I love to see the beautiful frost on the trees and the sun shining on the icicles making them look like shiny and glittery crystals. In the spring I see the seed delivery guys delivering seed for us to plant our fields. In the summer I can see my uncle fixing the baler for baling hay. In the fall I can see my mom getting lunch ready for my dad to take to the field. In the night I hear the coyotes yapping away. I love the smell of freshly cut hay and the taste of homegrown Manitoban beef. I know I am very blessed to live in a place where most of my relatives live close to me. I love the feeling of the wind in my face and the mud on my clothes while driving the quad with my extended family. Maybe some people would think of Manitoba as a boring province, but I love it. I can find beauty in many little things in my hometown province of Manitoba. One of the most important things I love about my home is freedom, especially freedom of religion. I wish everyone in the world could have a home as good as mine.
