When I Think About Home

What is a home to you? In this essay I will be telling you about the difference between a house and a home, how memories are made at home, and how family helps to create a home! A home doesn’t have to be a building, a home can be a feeling! Home isn’t always a building, a home is a place in your heart! When I think about a house and a home I like to think about their differences, I think of differences like how they are both in or at a different place, what you do at home and at a house, and how they are both made! When I think about a home, I think of it as a place in your heart, but when I think about a house I just think about a building in a normal city! At a house all you do is just sit there all alone as the sad and lonely air flows all around you, but at home you spend time with those you love and care about! A house is just a normal structure made out of bricks and wood, but a home is made out of more sturdy things than bricks and wood, it is made of the strongest thing in the world, love! What differences do you like to think about when you think about a house and a home? A home would not be a home without family! Home would not be home without family, because of their love, encouragement, and comfort! When I walk inside from the cold and snowy weather, I can smell the sweet and delicious scent of my mom's hot cocoa, the yummy marshmellows, and the poofy whiped cream with a minty taste that my mom makes with all her love! When I am playing a game with my family, they give me all the encouragement I need! When I am doing my daily devotions, my family gives me so much comfort I feel like I have an invisible shield all around me! Does family make your home feel like home, how? Do you ever have memories just stuck in your head? At home memories are made by the things you do and say! I have three really awesome memories that I would like to share with you! I would like to share memories like when my brother thought he could fly, when I was little I was afraid of a stuffed animal, and how every year we go camping at our lot! My brother was so confidant that he could fly, he grabbed onto a kite and jumped as high as he could but sadly he did not end up flying! When I was three years old my cousin came over and gave me a big stuffed dog, at first I was terrified of it, but after a day or two I ended up loving it! My family owns a piece of land in Cottam and every year we go camping there and have a campfire, games, bouncy castle, and fireworks! I have so many memories but out of them all these are by far my favourite! As you can see, for me the most important feature of a home is family. My family gives me all the love and support I will ever need and I love creating memories with them. My family is my home!
