What Does Home Mean to Me?

It is impossible for everyone to have a place they can call home, but I do wish for every person in the world to have a shelter that includes the following: 1: Family: Many people wouldn’t want to live by themselves. No one would want to be lonely. We all want to celebrate with family, live with them, be happy with them and treasure every second in our house, knowing that we can live longer and not have to struggle with the basic needs. It’s a place where opportunities can be made, otherwise, we might be spending our lives fighting for survival. 2: Being safe: Home should be a safe place to live. Where no robberies, no house being lit on fire, no shooting, no vandalism, no hate, no domestic violence, no arguing and no murdering should happen. No invasive species should invade homes such as cockroaches, spiders, flies, rats, fleas, ticks, wasps, mice and lice. It’s where no snow, rain, mold, hail, disease and ice should hurt you. One thing I wish for everyone is for no poor air filled with disease comes in to make you sick. 3: Happy Memories: For one fact, you don’t need to fill a photo album with pictures of your life. Memories can be brought back to life in your head by only looking at home and the good things that happened there will come back to you. Your home can also be a photo album with memories of your life. These memories vary such as getting presents from Santa Claus, having a birthday party at your house and inviting your friends to sleepovers on a king-sized bed. There can also be some pictures, posters, coins and books for traveling reminding you of the places that you’ve been to. From a campfire in the middle of nowhere to a giant mansion and everywhere in between, home is an inclusive environment where you can be yourself.
