Home = Love

Home is a place where you are surrounded by your friends and family, people that love you so much I can’t even explain. It is your safe place and you always feel like you're in your comfort zone. A place where you make memories and can be yourself. Where you laugh and have fun. You never feel out of place. Home is just another word for love. It’s like one big, warm hug is always around you if you're at home. Someone once asked me what the difference between a house and a home is. I've never had an answer until now. A house is a roof over your head and food. But a home is so much more. It’s a place you never want to leave. You feel free and happy. You can pretend to be anyone outside of home, but at home you are just you and that’s perfectly ok. You never have to pretend. You just always fit in. At home you can just breathe. That is the difference between a house and a home. When I think of home, I think of homemade pizza and playing board games with my family. I think of cuddling on the couch and watching a movie, with chips and treats. Family is HOME. “Ohana is home, home is family”
