Home

There is no place like home! I consider myself incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful home and I wish everyone in the entire world had a home. That is not true in real life, but I wish it were. When I am home, I feel protected, safe, happy, calm, kind, cozy, and comfortable. At home I see my parents smiling and smell the fresh blueberry muffins right out of the oven. I also feel the walls with their slightly rough texture and taste the delicious food my mom makes. I also hear my favorite character (Luna Lovegood) on my favorite movie series (Harry Potter). My home protects me from all kinds of weather like snowstorms, rain, heatwaves, floods, thunderstorms, etc. I would also like to help people who need a home. That is why I am thankful for this opportunity. Humans need a home like animals need their habitat. Home is a necessity for humans. Home is where you bond with your family, pets, and friends- where you enjoy and have fun. Home is where you make and have so many memories. It is a place where nobody can judge you and you can truly be yourself. Everybody has an emotional connection with their home. I truly believe that. I can say this with the conviction that everybody, at least once in their life, has longed to go home from work or school or, well, anywhere! There are so many things you can do at home. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for giving people homes. People don’t say, “Home Sweet Home” for nothing, you know! I absolutely adore my home!
