Your Home Might Not Be The First Home You Live In…

Your home starts off as a building then over time it grows into a home. My first home is where I'm supposed to feel safe. My parents fight and fight and sometimes late at night. I feel scared. My mom and dad split up when I was young. I had to witness it all. I had a new place with my mom, brother, and my step dad. I still had to see my dad. He made me feel like home wasn't safe and it was a scary place. I would always come home with bruises from that place. Yes, a place it's Just a house without a heart. A couple years later I stopped going to the house. I'm still living with my mom, my step dad, and two brothers now. I now know what a home feels like. I finally don't feel scared about coming home. I finally don't feel trapped with the evil. I can finally be happy to go home. I feel safe and loved. I feel safe to sleep at night. I have dinner everyday. I have clothes that fit me. I'm so thankful for my mom for fighting for me and my brother to have a safe home and to caring parents. Everyone should have the right to feel safe in your home!
