The Five to Know
In my home I see the rain out of my window,
The sun shining bright with a rainbow.
I see the leaves falling from the trees,
The wind blowing them over the road.
In my home I touch the soft covers on my bed,
The cold touch of the doorknob.
I touch the back of my family when we hug,
The touch of my stuffies when I sleep.
In my home I smell the banana bread baking,
The smell of ham cooking for Easter.
I smell muffins fresh from the oven,
The smell of French toast for breakfast.
In my home I hear the toast popping from the toaster,
The sound of the wind blowing outside.
I hear my family talking to each other,
And the sound of my dog barking.
In my home I taste the waffles for breakfast,
The lunch on the table.
I taste the chicken for dinner,
And the ice cream for dessert.
So,
