Home Is Not A Place It Is A Feeling

As soon as I enter my home I see the person who makes me smile the most. My brother Jack! I see my grey cat Rudy. By the look in his green eyes I know that he wants outside. Then I sit on my grey couch, this is the place where my family gathers to snuggle. I see my mom, I love this moment because it reminds me that she is with me no matter what! I run to my Dad and hug him. My parents make me feel safe. I wash my hands and I hear the sink run. It reminds me of all the family trips we took, like when we went to Florida. When I am washing my hands sometimes I hear my brother say “love you”. Those words mean a lot to me because it is very rare to hear from him to say that. When my dad makes pasta for dinner I taste the warm pasta sauce and the delicious meatballs, it's so good! It reminds me that my dad always loves me even when he is gone for work. I love touching my pink unicorn uni stuffy. It reminds me you are never too young to follow your dreams! Touching my soccer net is so important to me because it reminds you to always get better at something even when you think you can’t! As I enter the kitchen I smell the best stuffed potatoes in the world. I run into the dining room. I smell candles. They smell like cookies, my favourite! I run to my room and smell the fresh breeze of the wind. It smells of snow. I love that smell. It reminds me of winter, my favourite season. My home is the most comfortable, warm and safest place to me.
