Home
Home. Home to me is where love grows, where you can share your feelings with everyone, and you feel safe.
The meaning of home is that you have a roof over your head. In your home you feel safe, protected and comfortable with your family. Imagine a day when everything just seems to go wrong but then you can go home to a place you know you can be yourself and feel love and support from your family. When you're sad you can go inside and just by seeing your family and them saying everything is going to be okay. It makes everything seem better and you just feel loved after a hard day.
Sometimes you never realize that your home is important, but home protects your family from danger, home protects you. When you go home and see your family all happy, you instantly have this big ginormous smile on your face. Because you're with family, you know that you're safe, you have all your memories with your family, you know that your family loves you even through hard times. Even if you get in a fight you just know that you and your family will always love each other and will be beside you wherever you go. Home is wherever that love is.
What home means to me. Home to me is every day my mom and dad say ''I love you!'' Home is every night when my mom and dad say ''sweet dreams.'' Home is waking up in the morning, walking down the stairs and smelling the smell of delicious breakfast cooking and petting my dogs to say good morning. A home is a peaceful house full of love and family!
So that is why we thank Habitat for Humanity, for giving so many people a home.
