Home
A home is a place where I am warm and protected;
I have a place to sleep, a table to eat on
A bathtub to bathe in, and a lush green lawn
Snacks to taste, Food to eat
And when I come home, a family to greet
My Mother’s warm affectionate arms hold me tight
My Father’s strong, loving hands dry my tears when I have nightmares at night
My Brother’s laughter fills me with joy
And lots of lively toys.
A place to cry and let out my rage
I can still feel fear, but not be afraid
A place to laugh and play,
And a place to say what I need to say
I can be myself and love myself, just as much as I love everyone else
My home is not just a house;
It is a piece of my heart, all in itself.
