Home

Home is such a welcoming place. Every day after school, there is a place I can go, home! The trees sway and dance in the wind, as if they are happy to have me home. My dog comes to greet me, and jumps around me, acting like she hasn’t seen me in a year! When I open the door to my house, the smell of dinner rushes over me, and gives my stomach a growl. Home is the best place to be. Home is not just the house you live in. A real home is where a family loves and cares for each other. It is somewhere you can sit and have a delicious dinner with your family, with everyone laughing and talking about their day. A real home is not a place where people argue and get mad at each other. It is a place where you feel safe and loved. The size of your house does not matter. I would rather be squished in a tiny apartment room with a family that loves each other, than live in a mansion with a family that hates each other. So, if you love and care for your family, your home will get more pleasant every day. Thanks to Habitat for Humanity, more people can get a house. That house will hold a home, and the home will hold a loving family!
