Home is a Home
Home is not a person or city, it's a state of mind. It can be anywhere, it just needs you to make it a home. Home can be urban or rural. A home holds you, and protects you. At home you can be yourself, you are loved by all. In rural homes you may see trees, hay bales, deer through the window, foxes and bunnies. In urban places at night you can see glowing flashing lights, cars zooming past, and people walking with family. A home has family no matter how small or big, everyone is different. Home is a quiet or loud place. You can hear people chatting, and winds blowing. A home doesn't need chandeliers, sunroofs, big master bedrooms, or a big downstairs. Home is a place where you are not treated with neglect and hate, you come in with happy greetings and joy. It is home because of you. It keeps you warm instead of freezing staring through the dark night sky. If you are lucky like me you have a home but others may not. Home is love to me. Home keeps love full so it won’t blow away. Home is a place where you can be yourself. Home is a common safe place. Home is a place where you laugh and hear a joke. Some people say home is a house where you can see a mouse! Home can be boring, fun, cold, warm, and sad. Home is a place that holds your family together like your ancestors. Home can move like houses. Home is a lovely place. Home is a place with fresh air and oxygen. It doesn't matter if others have a better house, it might not be home to them. So promise me when you get home be happy that you have a home.
