Home is Where the Heart Starts

It all started with darkness, then light! The new baby was born, once it was born its home began, surround by its new family. From the hospital to the car the baby takes its first breath of fresh air, has a glimpse if the sunset prairie. When the car finally turns to the fresh house that this new baby will live in for at last the first years of its life it smiles. The car pulls up to the driveway, and the growing family walks into the house. The mother carefully whispers to her child “These are your aunties, there are your uncles, here are your grandparents, and this is you cousin.” And as the proud new father brings his baby girl face to face to with his, he calls out to her… “This is home.” *To habitat for humanity and every helper in between, I thank you and congratulate you for your efforts, volunteering, and hard work. Everyone deserves a house, as well as a place to call home.
