The difference between a house and a home

A house is a place you live, a home is the place where you and your family are together. A house is a structure or a building but a home can be anywhere. A house gives a place to live and stay warm on the outside but a home gives you a comforting feeling on the inside. In a house I hear nothing, unsettling silence, but in a home you would hear your family laughing at the dad joke that your father just told. In a house I see four walls and a kitchen but in a home I see all the mess I have over the years, reminding me about all the good times me and my family have had. In a house smells like nothing but a home smells like my father´s delicious cooking. A house is meaningless but a home is full of memories. A house can be destroyed but a home can never be broken. A house is something not everyone can afford but a home everyone should have. Not everyone can afford a house but everyone deserves a home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity!
