If Home Were The 5 Senses
If home were a sight, I would see the most gorgeous, appealing crystal clearest water I would have ever seen, with my family gathered around it taking selfies in the summertime.
If home were a sound, I would hear the butteriest popcorn snapping in the microwave, while my sister impatiently glaring at the popping popcorn thinking it will stop with her “Magical Powers.”
If home were a taste, it would be the mouth watering Indian food my mom would cook with all of her love into it, looking at us delightfully eating the scrumptious dish.
If home were a touch, it would be me and my family snuggling under the coziest and fluffiest blanket on the spongiest bed I have slept on.
If home were a smell, I would be following the delicious, mouthwatering smell of an Indian sweet right after school all the way to the kitchen where my mom would be cooking the delightful treat for my family.
Home is also where I can be ME and feel free around my family and friends. It’s where we make unforgettable memories and share everything with each other. Truly, home is just a place of patience, honesty and love. Everyone deserves their own space where they feel safe and protected. I wish and pray for all families and people to be able to have a home, from harsh weathers like rain and snow. I am thankful and grateful for Habitat for Humanity for building homes and helping those in need who wish to make a house their home, just like mine.
