Ups and Downs

A house is often alone, but a home is something WAY different. I have only lived in two homes. I know that other people have lived in more homes than me. I always imagined how difficult it would be to move from house to house, but I can also imagine being with your loved ones every step of the way. When I first moved, I thought I had lost everything, like my favorite memories. Later, after we settled in our new home, I realized that I had not lost everything because my family was there right beside me the entire time. But now I remember that it is not just the house it is the things inside it, like your FAVORITE toy or pillow. I thought my old home was where ALL the memories were stored, because every day as I walked through our old home, I remembered every special memory that meant a lot to me. Don’t get me wrong, the home that you live in can store memories, but so can you. Though you think you may be alone, there will always be someone by your side through whatever your journey may bet to your special home.
