The Meaning of Home to Me

The meaning of home to me is when I feel happy and safe. I feel happy and excited when I get to play my incredibly fun Nintendo switch on the glowing screen of the TV, or build Lego cars. I also feel happy when my dad cooks BBQ pork because it is very tasty, and it smells delicious. Being in my home also makes me feel safe. I feel safe inside because I do not want to get sick from COVID 19 and I’m afraid of wild animals like coyotes. My family is at home to keep me company like my brother. At home I feel safe from my worries. I feel thankful when I am in a big house with lots of room and when I don’t have to share a bedroom with my brother. My blanket at home feels cozy along with a stuffed animal to hug. Even though I don't like doing chores, I would rather live in a house than on the street. I feel lucky and grateful to not be living on the streets. I hope that people with lower income and people new to Canada can find a home and have an experience like mine by going to Habitat for Humanity to get a home.
