What Home Means To Me
I believe that Habitat For Humanity is a life changing corporation and I’d like to acknowledge my appreciation before my writing.
Family is my home. If it was a box on the streets to a mansion in Miami, as long as my family is there that’s my home. I’d like to say that I spend at least 50% of my time with my family. All because it brings me joy to spend time with the people I love. Game-nights and family get-togethers are always fun for me. From baking with my Auntie to crafting with my cousins I’ll always love my family no matter what.
Homemade food tastes better than anything else in the world. Especially when it's made by a family. In my family most get-togethers are based on food. For example, Christmas and Thanksgiving involve a turkey dinner at either my Aunts and Uncle's house or my Grandpa and Grandma's house. On Valentine's Day my Aunt hosts a brunch with games too. Birthdays are so fun, you get to pick what you eat for dinner. You also get to have a big dessert.
Pets are another thing that make a house a home. If you have a dog that runs to you when you get home, or a cat to snuggle with after a long day you'll always have one more thing to make you feel at home. Pets can come from all around the world. tropical birds, exotic fish, Labrador retrievers, Siamese cats, gerbils, rabbits, reptiles and amphibians. All pets are lovely additions to make a house a home.
