A Home is for Everyone
Home is more than just four walls connected to each other. Home is a place where you should be loved, cared for by your family, safe, protected, at peace, and warm. Home is a really special place full of memories, every picture, every corner and every room reminds us of all the special moments that we have shared in our home. My favorite memory in my home is celebrating Eid with my aunts, cousins, and uncles. They all came over to my house and we had a big dinner with all my favorite foods. I love celebrating with my family in my home.
When I go to sleep and it rains and thunders I am grateful that there is a roof, so I don't get soaked. Our home keeps us safe. When I get up from bed I smell the fresh baked waffles that my mom cooks for breakfast. During the day our home smells of blossoming flowers. It smells like peace. Home is also a place to eat food, drink water and celebrate special family traditions. Home isn't just a place to live in, there is so much more to it. You should always no matter what feel safe, loved, cared for, and comfortable. At home you should feel supported by your family even if you're sad, mad or overwhelmed. Everyone when I say everyone I mean everybody in the world should have a safe, comfortable, peaceful, joyful home to live in and build memories with their families. I can't imagine how it would be without a home, so thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving families the opportunities to feel the way I do!
